Roger Williams Park Zoo
Providence, Rhode Island

Our Rating:  excellent

We last visited in July 2006.

New England's top zoo only gets better every time we visit.  We first came to this zoo in November of 2003 and were impressed by the naturalistic habitats and wide variety of animals.  Our most recent visit in July of 2006 further reinforced our impression that this is truly one of our favorite zoos.  A rather cramped polar bear habitat is being expanded to nine times its original size.  The new North American Trail habitat will house not only the polar bears but also bald eagles, bison, red wolves, and others.

If you're in the vicinity and only have time for one zoo visit, skip Boston and visit the Roger Williams Park Zoo.

Levitra with Dapoxetine is an effective method to treat such sympthom of erectile disfunction as premature ejaculation

Generic levitra vardenafil to a 12-week, placebo-controlled study. In particular, the investigators found that, compared with placebo, vardenafil dose-dependently decreased urinary excretion of testosterone and free testosterone. "Our pharmacokinetic data indicated that vardenafil had an extremely potent and rapid effect as an oral contraceptive," reported the researchers. "On average, we found that a vardenafil tablet, for every two men, prevented about 7% and 12% of pregnancies in our study subjects, respectively." The researchers further noted that vardenafil induced vasodilation with high levels of testosterone and free test levels for up to eight hours after the dose was administered. These findings may be important for women who may have undergone hormone therapy or other pharmacologic contraception measures for medical reasons. "We also measured the levels of estrogen and progesterone metabolites in urine samples collected from study subjects. We did not find significant differences between vardenafil and placebo in these samples," noted the investigators. "Vardenafil did not have significant effects on urine estrogen levels and progestin metabolite levels." In addition, the investigators found that vardenafil had no effect on basal free testosterone levels after the first dose administered over a 1.5-hour period post-start, or on serum testosterone for up to 11 hours after the dose was administered. This study confirms previous findings that vardenafil is effective as a long-acting, reversible contraceptive and may be useful for women during or following hormonal therapy. As expected, vardenafil induced a strong peak of blood pressure and increased heart-rate during the initial dose administration. After dose, vardenafil appeared to stabilize plasma testosterone and free concentrations over a prolonged period of time. These findings are a potential benefit of vardenafil in combination with other pharmacologic contraception measures. The findings of this study have important clinical implications by increasing the knowledge on how short-acting reversible contraceptives work in preventing pregnancy and reducing the generic alternative to levitra need for pharmacotherapy contraception. This study serves as a "proof of concept" that is significant interest to the pharmaceutical drug industry.
